Magdalena Duffy

I hold a Master’s degree in English Studies from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, and also completed a course in European Studies at University College Galway (Ireland) as part of the Socrates programme. Nowadays, I continue to develop my skills by pursuing a wide range of training courses for translators.

I have been a freelance translator since 2001, and became state-certified in 2016. For a number of years, I also worked as a proofreader and editor of professional writing in fields including law, business and health sciences. At present, my professional focus is on translation and interpretation, and I continue to take particular interest in the same subject areas.

I am a member of the TEPIS Polish Society of Sworn and Specialized Translators and the Trade Union of State-Certified Translators and Interpreters in Poland (ZZTPwP).

I deliver certified translations not only as hardcopies with my seal and signature, but also as electronic documents with a qualified electronic signature.

I work as a sole proprietor and my services are VAT-exempt.

In my spare time, I recharge my batteries through physical activity, and as soon as the weather gets cold – I go in for winter swimming.
